Chattanooga Rotary Club, Krystal and Local Media Welcome Home Troops For The Holidays
Early this morning, the Chattanooga Downtown Rotary Club, Krystal Crave Cruiser and local media came together to give the 278th Division of the Tennessee National Guard a warm welcome home for the holidays.
The troops, who are currently stationed at Camp Shelby in Mississippi, were given the chance to visit their families during the Christmas break before being deployed to Iraq. After learning of this opportunity, the Downtown Rotary Club banded together to raise funds to transport the Privates from Mississippi to the National Guard Armory in Chattanooga where the Krystal Crave Cruiser greeted about 130 soldiers and their families with a hot cup of coffee and Krystal Sunriser breakfast sandwich.
Also there in support of the servicemen and their families was Chattanooga’s local media: The Times Free Press, Don Welch with WTVC Channel 9, WRBC Channel 3 and WDEF Channel 12. See the links below to read more and check out the photo gallery featuring images from this morning.
