Hall of Famer Terry Rogers Keeps Love For Krystal In The Family
Join Rogers' Hall of Fame celebration tomorrow at the Krystal in Franklin.
There’s a saying that birds of a feather flock together. However, Krystal Lover Terry Rogers takes that saying in a slightly different way.
A clan of self-professed Krystalholics, Rogers says she and her family refused to beckon any person into their brood unless they bowed down to the Krystal burger. She exclaims, “My son-in-laws had to declare their love for Krystals as they professed their love for our daughters before we gave them our blessing to marry.”
And for that, we salute Rogers for exercising excellent judgment with her daughters’ husbands. A good man may be hard to find, but if they like Krystal as much as Rogers does, we’d say they’re off to a good start!
In honor of Rogers’ diehard loyalty to the brand, Krystal would like to recognize this dedicated fan and matriarch by inducting her into the Krystal Lovers Hall of Fame. Her ceremony will be held Tues., Dec. 15 at 5:30 p.m. at the Krystal located at 1414 Murfreesboro Rd. Franklin, Tenn. 37064.
Terry Rogers’ Story:
It is tradition for a man to ask a girl’s parents for their daughter’s hand in marriage. However, Terry Rogers has one more condition on her list before approving such a union and that includes professing love for her daughter and also for Krystal. Not only did one but two of Rogers’ son-in-laws had to go through her strict screening process. Then and only then did they receive Rogers’ final blessing. And of course, the new family members joined in one more tradition – eating at Krystal for the Easter holiday. Rogers exclaims, “Where does my family go to eat after 40 days of fasting for Lent? Krystal!” Year after year in true Krystal fashion, Rogers orders her favorite meal – the No. 1 combo with four Krystals (extra mustard) and a large Diet Coke. And although a woman of tradition, Rogers does let both of her son-in-laws choose their own Krystal meal. But when it comes to Krystal, the whole family is in agreement – you can’t beat the Famous Krystal Burger.
