Teen Takes Birthday Bath In Burger King Sink

The Internet is abuzz today with a video originally posted on Myspace that shows an employee of a Burger King in Xenia, Ohio bathing in the restaurant sink as other employees watch.

In the video you can hear the teenager exclaim, “It’s my birthday, and I’m taking a bath in the sink at Burger King. Somebody bring me a beer!”

The local Health Commissioner Mark McDonnell was emailed the video and is obviously not amused claiming “any bacteria on his skin could have been deposited giving people food poisoning”.  Um…yum.

Making this story even more bizarre is the fact that the person filming the video tells the manager what’s going on and the manager just continues counting cash out of the register.

Officials at Burger King Corp. were obviously notified and are compiling with health officials.  All employees involved have been fired.

Below is the video from WHIO in Dayton.

Good luck not thinking about this the next time you eat at Burger King.  But hey, at least the boy bathes.

Krystal Serves As Inspiration To Other Fast Food Companies

The Burger King is caught in the act, scoping out Krystal's menu for inspiration. Photo by Flickr user czyjs. If we’ve said it once, we’ve said it twice – imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and after seeing this article we’re flattered…again.

It appears as though a fast food company (ahem, Burger King we’re looking at you) is “rolling out what it claims to be the first burger made for sharing”. Called the 6 Pack, the meal consists of one big Aberdeen Angus patty inside six rolls, stuck together to allow consumers to tear off portions.

Perhaps the Burger King got this idea after his recent visit to Krystal? We’re pretty sure he ordered a Sackful, which Krystal created in 1932 for the sole purpose of sharing with family and friends. Or, could it have been a large order of Krystal Pups or the Mix ‘n Match Combo that inspired the King’s new concept? All we know is Krystal has been in the business of creating food to share for over 75 years now, so we’re actually a little surprised it has taken another company this long.

Now the 6 Pack is only being rolled out in the UK, Spain and Germany, so those of us in the U.S. won’t get a look at the new burger. That’s alright though, if you’re in the mood for some food sharing, just head on over to Krystal — not only will you be able to choose between burgers, Chiks and Pups to share, but you won’t have to bother with tearing them apart like you do with BK’s 6 Pack.

And you know, we shouldn’t be surprised by this latest creation of the Burger King’s. This isn’t the first time he’s used Krystal as a source of inspiration. Take a gander at this. Yeah, it’s Burger King’s FryPod, the container he “invented” to make enjoying fries on-the-go easy and convenient. You know, one that fits perfectly inside your car’s cup holder. Sound familiar? Yeah, it’s just like the fry container Krystal has been using for years and years. Curious, don’t you think? What’s next King? Breakfast menu items stacked in a bowl so that you can mix them together or enjoy layer by layer? Don’t even think about it.

Hardee’s Truck Spotted at Krystal

A Hardee's truck makes a stop at Krystal

We snagged this photo from our marketing department’s blog.

We’ve already posted pictures of the Burger King and the Chick-fil-A cow showing their preference for Krystal, and now Hardee’s is in on the small, square action.

Maybe those Thickburgers just aren’t cutting it, or perhaps this employee was hit with the irresistible Krystal craving.

We understand and know how it is. When you gotta have Krystal, you just gotta have Krystal.

Chick-fil-A Cow is a Krystal Lover

The famous Chick-fil-A cow is a Krystal Lover.

If the Burger King eating at Krystal and Jack almost finding himself in a Krystal box came as a surprise to you, today’s Krystal-lovin’ fast food mascot photo will be a shocker.

Yes folks, that’s who you think it is. It’s one of the famous Chick-fil-A cows sporting an “I’m a Krystal Lover” sticker.

We’re guessing (and hoping) he’s not a cannibalistic cow, but simply loves our new line of icy drinks, the Krystal Freeze, or prefers the smallness and squareness of our Krystal Chiks – or maybe it’s the way we spell it?

Either way, there’s no denying this “Chikin”-lovin’ cow loves Krystal.

The Burger King Eats at Krystal

Even the Burger King can’t resist his craving for Krystal.

Thanks to the brilliant site that is Flickr, we found these photos (at right and after the jump) on czyjs’s profile of a certain someone in line at Krystal. Guess even the Burger King craves the steamed-in flavor of Krystal over the Whopper from time to time.

For those of you who don’t know what Flickr is, you should be deeply ashamed of yourselves because not only is it 4 years old, but it’s also one of the best time-sucking sites on the Internet.

Flickr is a digital photo sharing website that allows you to upload photos that you can then share with friends and family. But, and this is the best part, you can also search everyone else’s photos, finding shots of nearly anything you can imagine (like the photos of the Burger King eating at Krystal) taken by folks all over the globe.

For example, after searching for Krystal burgers, we not only found the awesome shots of Mr. BK himself at Krystal, but we found this shot of someone’s first Krystal run, this photo of the Krystal on Bourbon Street (which is where the creepy BK was spotted) and this shot of a Krystal burger taken with someone’s camera phone in Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport.

In fact, Flickr is so popular, that according to Yahoo! about 2,800 photos are uploaded to the site per minute on the average Saturday night – which means we’ve got to get back to Flickring as there are a lot more Krystal photos to be found.

Feel free to post your own pics of your Krystal adventures and check back, as we’ll continue to feature our favorite from time to time.

Another photo of the Burger King at Krystal after the jump.
