Humble Bob Shoudt takes Chattanooga with 58 Krystal Burgers

Humble Bob Shoudt took the Krystal Square Off Chattanooga Qualifier on Saturday, downing 58 Krystal burgers in eight minutes.

Although Shoudt was disappointed with his performance, he did earn the first seat to this year’s World Hamburger Eating Championship, which will take place back in Chattanooga on September 28.

A chihuahua on cheeseburgers.

Hope everyone had a great long weekend full of fun, family, food and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Krystal Hamburger. Now it’s back to reality and back to work. But in hopes of putting a smile on your face this morning, we decided to post a photo of a chihuahua standing on cheeseburgers. Random, we know. But it made us laugh, ok?

We found the pic over at A Hamburger Today, and the photo is from a series taken by photographer William Hundley titled “w/cheeseburger”. You can see the entire collection on Flickr. We also love the longboard photo.

Now we’re feeling inspired to take our own photos, but using Krystal burgers of course.  So check back and see what random things from our our office we can stack on top of Krystal burgers. We doubt Java, our chocolate lab, will be so cooperative - she loves Krystal. So does this chihuahua.

Now get back to work.

We stumbled across this Krystal photo today, which was posted by Flickr user ajpresto714. The photo was taken in Nashville’s Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park at the Wall of History, a 1,400 ft. long granite wall etched with dates and information detailing a historical time line of Tennessee. Pretty cool, huh?

We like lists. Today is Friday. Put those two together and you get today’s post. Oh, and mix in a little funny because these are the Top 5 funniest Krystal photos on Flickr (try saying that three times fast).

These are in no particular order, and no people, there are no prizes. Just laughs.

Even the Burger King can’t resist his craving for Krystal.

Thanks to the brilliant site that is Flickr, we found these photos (at right and after the jump) on czyjs’s profile of a certain someone in line at Krystal. Guess even the Burger King craves the steamed-in flavor of Krystal over the Whopper from time to time.

For those of you who don’t know what Flickr is, you should be deeply ashamed of yourselves because not only is it 4 years old, but it’s also one of the best time-sucking sites on the Internet.

Flickr is a digital photo sharing website that allows you to upload photos that you can then share with friends and family. But, and this is the best part, you can also search everyone else’s photos, finding shots of nearly anything you can imagine (like the photos of the Burger King eating at Krystal) taken by folks all over the globe.

For example, after searching for Krystal burgers, we not only found the awesome shots of Mr. BK himself at Krystal, but we found this shot of someone’s first Krystal run, this photo of the Krystal on Bourbon Street (which is where the creepy BK was spotted) and this shot of a Krystal burger taken with someone’s camera phone in Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport.

In fact, Flickr is so popular, that according to Yahoo! about 2,800 photos are uploaded to the site per minute on the average Saturday night - which means we’ve got to get back to Flickring as there are a lot more Krystal photos to be found.
