Calling all Chattanoogans, Krystal Lovers and Lookouts Fans! We’re excited to help spread the word that the Chattanooga Lookouts Minor League Baseball Team’s opening game is only days away at home on April 8 against the Huntsville Stars. That’s right – not only does the spring season bring overflowing Krystal Freezes and MilkQuakes but also a little outdoor entertainment for folks living in the heart of Krystal country.

And to make things even more exciting, Krystal will be sponsoring a Krystal Frozen T-shirt contest at every Chattanooga Lookouts home game during the 2010 season. The game starts with three people chosen at random who are given a frozen T-shirt packed together tightly. The first person to get the T-shirt open and put it on wins a $10 Krystal gift card. And don’t worry, the runner-ups will get a little something as well.

But of course, you have to attend the games to get in on the action, so be sure to come out and support your local baseball team and have a little fun in the process. And, because we love our Krystal Fans, here’s a little winner’s tip for the Frozen T-shirt contest if you get chosen: hit the shirt against the ground to break the ice and soften it up so that it opens more easily. At Krystalist, our favorite flavor is the classic Cherry Krystal Freeze!

If there is one thing we like about Krystal, it’s the “nothin’ like it” variety that the fast food eatery serves up. With everything from Burgers to Chiks to Pups to all the innovative beverage choices including MilkQuakes and the Krystal Blitz, there is a little something for everyone. And, we can’t leave out one of our favorite treats and its many flavor options – The Krystal Freeze.

Bright and early this morning, the brand new Krystal restaurant opened its doors in Sylacauga, giving area residents a chance to enjoy the restaurant’s signature, big taste menu items hot off the grill.

Located at 1309 Fort Williams St., the new restaurant will join more than 15 additional Krystal locations in the Birmingham area – one of the company’s largest heritage markets to date.

Menu items served up at the new Sylacauga Krystal will include: the famous Krystal Hamburger; the Krystal Chik made with 100% whole breast chicken filet and served on the famous small, square bun; the Krystal Pup, a Krystal-sized hot dog served with or without chili; Breakfast Scramblers, a line-up of traditional plate breakfasts stacked smartly in a bowl and conveniently enjoyed scrambled up or layer by layer; MilkQuakes, real ice cream milkshakes made with premium ingredients; and the complete line of Krystal Freeze beverages, the company’s new frozen slush drink made from pure-cane sugar and fruit flavorings.

We realized yesterday that whenever we talk about the new Krystal Holiday MilkQuakes we always use a photo of the Pumpkin Pie MilkQuake because we have yet to snap shots of either the Mint Chocolate Cookie MilkQuake or Eggnog MilkQuake. So yesterday we fixed that.

We had one of the interns pick up a few of the premium ice cream treats at the Krystal on the corner of 14th Street and Northside Drive so we could fire off some shots before rapidly consuming them in the office.

Yep, tough job we have here, we know. Just think of the dangers involved, like suffering from a bout of sphenopalatineganglioneuralgia. Good thing we know what to do when that happens.
