We wanted to send out a reminder to all you current and future Krystal Lovers out there to stop by the “Sample Saturday” event taking place tomorrow, Jan. 17, from 1-4 p.m. at the new Krystal Restaurant in Franklin, TN.

If you’ve never been one to venture out beyond the classic Krystal or Krystal Cheese, then here’s your chance. The folks in Franklin will be sampling items such as the Spicy Southern Chik Basket with Fiesta Waffle Fries and Krystal’s ever-expanding premium beverage line, including Krystal Freezes and MilkQuakes.

The new restaurant is conveniently located at 1412 Murfreesboro Rd.  And get this – we even checked the weather for you.  Although it will be a little chilly out, the sun will be shining all day long with only partly cloudy skies.  So, get out of the house and join your friends for some much needed winter comfort food. A new Krystal location opened its doors this morning in San Antonio.

The brand new, state-of-the-art restaurant is located at 10531 Culebra Rd. and is serving up Krystal’s signature menu favorites as well as a number of exciting new menu options, including RockSlides®, a line of ice cream-based beverages that include mix-ins such as M&Ms, Butterfinger and Snickers, and Krystal Toaster Sandwiches®, a variety of Krystal-sized sandwiches served on toasted bread including Philly Cheesesteak, Turkey Club, Grilled Cheese, BLT and Grilled Bacon and Cheese.

The Culebra Rd. restaurant joins the two existing Krystal locations at 6446 NW Loop 410 and 7953 Pat Booker Rd.

In celebration of the new restaurant’s opening, the company will host a free menu tasting event on November 1 at all area Krystal locations, giving local residents the chance to taste for free many of the company’s brand new menu items.

In celebration of Krystal’s recent expansion in San Antonio, including the opening of the new Drive-In location this past July and the opening of a brand-new restaurant this later this month, the company is hosting a series of free sampling events for local residents.

The first of the events will take place tomorrow at the Krystal restaurants located at 6446 NW Loop 410 and 7953 Pat Booker Road between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

At both locations, area residents stopping by will have the chance to taste for free a variety of Krystal’s most popular menu items including:

• Krystal Toaster Sandwiches® - a variety of Krystal-sized sandwiches served on toasted bread including Philly Cheesesteak, Turkey Club, Grilled Cheese, BLT and Grilled Bacon and Cheese.

Last year's event drew thousands of fans, so we'd suggest getting there early to guarantee yourself a seat.

Well, the big weekend is finally upon us.  We’ve been hyping it all year and now we’re less than 72 hours away.  We’re talking about the Krystal Square Off V World Hamburger Eating Championship, of course.

Saturday, September 27 -

1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. : The world’s greatest eaters will be at the Krystal in Hixson, Tenn., signing autographs and taking photos with fans including, Takeru Kobayashi, Joey Chestnut, Pat Bertoletti, Humble Bob Shoudt and others. Plus, in addition to meeting these eating superstars, you can fill up for free as the restaurant will be giving away free samples of various menu items as a part of it’s “Sample Saturday” series.

Sunday, September 28 -

9:00 a.m. – Krystal Square Off V Poker Bike Run begins.  For more information, click here.

12:00 p.m.  - Krystal Fan Fest begins at Ross’s Landing at the Chattanooga Riverfront.  This year’s Fan Fest includes:  games, free Krystals, autographs with the eaters and The Marshall Tucker Band will take the stage.

* Also, don’t forget – registration for the Sackful Challenge and the spot of the 12th Eater will take place between noon and 1:00 p.m.  This is your shot to take the stage and show your stuff – oh, and you’ll do it on live television!

2:00 p.m. - FSN South televised coverage begins and kicks off with the Sackful Challenge.  Immediately following, the official 2008 Krystal Square Off V World Hamburger Eating Championship will take place.

Stop by the Hixson Krystal this Saturday for free samples of Chiks, Pups, MilkQuakes and more.

Krystal is kicking off Fall with another installment of its popular Sample Saturday series, and this go-round it’s the Hixson, Tenn. restaurant that will dish out the freebies and a $100 Krystal gift card each week.

Beginning this Saturday, Sept. 13 and taking place the next two Saturdays (Sept. 20 and Sept. 27), guests visiting the Krystal at 4850 Hixson Pike between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. will have the opportunity to sample for free Krystal’s expansive menu options as well as enter a drawing for a $100 Krystal gift card.

Menu items that will be available for guests to sample include Krystal Chiks, the company’s signature, small, square chicken sandwich, Krystal Pups, the iconically small hot dogs, Breakfast Scramblers, Krystal’s one-of-a-kind breakfast line, Krystal Freezes, the company’s new line of gourmet slush beverages and MilkQuakes, Krystal’s premium milkshakes made with real ice cream.
