After giving away more than $5,000 in free food gift cards to 600 or so of our closest San Antonio friends on Saturday, the doors to the brand new Krystal Drive-In opened first thing Monday morning.

So, we’d like to present our Top Ten Reasons for Eating at the San Antonio Krystal Drive-In:

Krystal's expansion in San Antonio is front page news.

Not only will there be more Krystal restaurants for locals to curb their cravings for all things small and square, but the first Krystal to open this summer will be a drive-in location. Like the original in Krystal’s hometown of Chattanooga, the drive-in restaurant will feature classic carhop service and an expanded line of new menu items - like real fruit smoothies, ice cream sundaes, and toasted sandwiches. In addition, the Krystal Drive-In will have those award-winning digital menu boards with integrated TVs as well as free, in-your-vehicle Wi-Fi service. This will be the first Krystal of its kind in Texas.

The second restaurant is scheduled to open this winter and will feature Krystal’s classic dine-in and drive-thru design along with its regular line of signature menu items.
