Krystal Lovers Root For New Orleans Saints In 2010 Super Bowl XLIV

Join the Krystal team on Sunday, Feb. 7 as we all root for the New Orleans Saints in Super Bowl XLIV!

Join Krystal Lovers across the South on Feb. 7 as we all root for the New Orleans Saints in Super Bowl XLIV!

Because Krystal loves to give back to its guests for all of their continued support and loyalty to the brand, the fast food icon promised fans that the company would in turn root for its Krystal Lovers’ football team of choice in the 2010 Super Bowl game. To do so, Krystal turned to its online communities on Facebook and Twitter.

All week long, Krystal guests spoke out with great excitement about who they want to win. 2009 Krystal Hall of Famer Kris Underwood exclaimed, “Indianapolis Colts! GO BLUE!!” Many other Krystal Lovers including Adam Johnson and Tyler Peterson stated, “SAINTS! Who Dat!”

But after a great response – hearing from more than 100 Krystal Fans, the clear winner is… THE NEW ORLEANS SAINTS!

Now we do realize that this might not come as that big of a surprise, considering there are more Krystal Lovers in the South than in the Midwest. However, there are Krystal Lovers like Chad Littleton who totally go against that train of thought as you can see with his response here, “Colts! This Falcons fan will never pull for the Saints.”

Either way, what we can tell you with absolute certainty is that on February 7th at 7:20 p.m. EST, we here at Krystalist along with the entire Krystal Team and all of our Krystal Lovers across the South will be pulling for the Saints. Now let us hear you say, “WHO DAT!”

Super Bowl Sunday Suggestion No. 2: The Krystal-Eating Game

Stocking up with Steamer Packs for the Big Game this Sunday.The Big Game is just days away, and we’re continuing with our week-long look at the biggest sports weekend in America with our Super Bowl Sunday Suggestion series. Today we have Suggestion No. 2, the Krystal-eating game, submitted by Mikey Hankells from Hudson, Fla.

The Krystal-Eating Game

Rule: Each time your team scores, you must eat the corresponding number of Krystal Hamburgers (or Chiks, or Pups – you decide).

Points:

Touchdown = 6 Krystals
Field Goal = 3 Krystals
Safety = 2 Krystals
Extra Point = 1 Krystal

Give it a shot or come up with your own Krystal-eating game. And because we like to laugh with you, and never at you, send us a video of you and your friends playing Mikey’s game or your own version. Or, if the $3 million commercials turn out not to be a bust and you think you could do a better job – make your own “Big Game Day” Krystal commercial and send it to us at info [at] krystal.com.

Top 10 Reasons Why It’s Better To Watch the Super Bowl at Home

his photo from Raymond James Stadium is evidence of why it's best to watch the game from home. Are those players down there or tiny ants in shoulder pads?This Sunday, most of the country will either be preparing for, betting on (just friendly, cashless wagers of course) and/or watching the Super Bowl. And Krystalist is here to make game day (and game week) even better. Hence, the beginning of our week-long “Super Bowl Sunday Suggestions” from Krystal. Yeah, we got a little carried away with the alliteration didn’t we?

Super Bowl Suggestion #1

Watch the Super Bowl from home. Sure it may be fun to make all your friends jealous as you Facebook status or Tweet the Super Bowl live from Raymond James Stadium, but there are tons of reasons why it’s better to watch the game from the comfort of your own home.

Here are our top 10 reasons why:

10. It’s cheap, and let’s face it, even when the economy is great, the cost of a game ticket alone is enough to break most people’s banks.

9. Your favorite couch or sofa chair is much more comfortable than a stadium bleacher seat.

8. Your high definition TV shows way more detail than the stadium’s big screen.

7. There’s no waiting in traffic for hours before and after the game.

6. You can host your own game day party for the same price of a beer and pretzel at the stadium (well almost!).

5. You don’t have to wait in long lines for the bathroom.

4. You don’t have to sit next to that annoying fan that yells obscenities in your ear and spills beer all over your favorite football jersey (unless you have a friend like that, and if you do, you may want to lose them).

3. You can choose your own half-time entertainment (more later on fun things to do during half-time).

2. You get to watch all the great Super Bowl commercials (isn’t that why most of us watch the game?).

1. And last but not least, you can enjoy your favorite Krystal food while watching the game.

Okay, now that we have you convinced to stay home – you must read tomorrow’s post about how to throw the best Krystal-themed game day party possible. And stay tuned for some fun football facts and stats later this week.

Have any more reasons why it’s better to stay home? We’d love to hear them. Until tomorrow…
