Krystal Creations for Valentine’s Day

How do you make food romantic? Create heart-shaped Krystals! While all of you with plus ones out there tried to think of a creative Valentine’s Day gift this past Saturday, a small town girl in Wisconsin was one step ahead. This bride to be started a new Valentine’s Day tradition with her man that incorporates favorite food items in the shape of a heart.

Last year it was pizza. A natural choice because who doesn’t like pizza? But this year they both stepped it up a notch. She got Dunkin’ Donuts and he got Krystal! Sound a little cheesy? Think again. Check out how delicious these heart-shaped Krystal Burgers look! I’d take that gift any day of the week.

Now, we know it’s a little late to be giving gift advice for Valentine’s Day, but we’ve taken away a great suggestion from this post for next year. Start a tradition. There’s nothing more romantic than implying that there will be many more Valentine’s Days to come. That’s commitment.

The Krystal Secret to 20 Years of Marriage

A little bit of love and a whole lot of Krystals is the secret to a successful marriage! It’s the fifth story and final day before Valentine’s Day weekend. Hopefully we’ve given you enough romance for one week and warmed you up for the Big Day. But be warned. With all of this romantic foreplay, some of you men out there might just convince a girl to fall for you – and for good. Lucky for you, we have a 20-year marriage success story to help ease some concerns. As the saying goes, “Another one bites the dust!”

Twenty years – that’s a long time to be married. People always ask, “What’s the secret?” Fortunately, Travis and Tammy Holder of Lewisburg, Tenn. know the answer:  “A little bit of love and whole lot of Krystals!” In August of 1988, Holder took his new wife to the local Krystal in Murfreesboro, Tenn. to eat their first dinner as a married couple, which soon became a ritual for the two. Only 20 short years later, Travis Holder took his wife back to Krystal to celebrate another milestone with his wife – their 20th wedding anniversary. He lovingly stated, “This is the place where I plan to be another 20 years from now.”

We can’t think of a better ending for Krystal’s Top Lovers Love Stories of 2009 and are excited to help the Holders celebrate their love with an intimate candlelit dinner at Krystal and a $100 gift card.

A Krystal Lover’s Dream Wedding

What's better than a three-tiered wedding cake made out of your favorite Krystal Burger? Day four of love week and the stories keep getting better.

Southerners are known for their outlandish weddings, engagement parties and showers – even outrageous groom’s cakes that are themed with a favorite football team or mascot. You name it and the South does it up right. The same goes for Todd and Megan Rucker of Rockwood, Tenn.

There was nothing traditional about the Rucker’s wedding, especially Megan’s wedding cake. And not one of their guests complained. How could they with a gigantic three-tiered tower of little, square tasty Krystals cooked to perfection, topped with a miniature bride and groom?

Talk about a Krystal Lover’s dream and for Megan and Todd Rucker – a Krystal Lover’s dream wedding.

This story definitely warrants a spot in Krystal’s Top Lovers Love Stories of 2009 and all the perks that come along with the title including a romantic candlelit dinner at their favorite Krystal restaurant this Valentine’s Day, a $100 gift card and more.

Know anyone else who has thrown a Krystal-themed wedding? Or any other crazy motif for that matter? Tell us about it here.

With a romantic story like that of Morgan and Ashley Geoghagan of Jackson, Miss., how can we? Their tale of love isn’t one of a single romantic gesture, but one of continued dedication. And what’s more powerful than a love that’s rekindled multiple times a week? The Geoghagan’s tell their story much better than us, so we’ll just let you read below…

“We know that many couples have monthly date nights, maybe even weekly, but several times a week? It’s a little out of the norm – we know. You’re probably thinking, ‘It must be true love, right?’ Well, it’s definitely a true love of something! We agree that we enjoy spending time together, but our craving for Krystal is the main reason for all those evenings alone. Our love for Krystal keeps our relationship alive and for us, there’s nothing more romantic than that.”

For a love that strong of each other and of Krystal’s hot and steamy menu items, Krystal is excited to help the Geoghagan’s celebrate the most romantic day of the year. This Valentine’s Day, the couple will share an intimate candlelit dinner at their favorite Krystal restaurant with a $100 gift card and much more.

Krystal Countdown to Valentine’s Day Continues with Love Story No. 2

Nothing like a Krystal Sackful to share for dinner on a first date! How do you know when you’ve got a keeper? First dates are usually too soon to tell, but Gina Nelson of Macon, Ga. knew exactly how to win the keys to her husband Paul’s heart. They had it all planned out – tickets to the rodeo with friends and dinner afterwards, but all the restaurants were closed except Krystal. Paul didn’t have to ask her twice. Turns out she’s been a Krystal Lover all her life.

“I knew Gina was a keeper when her eyes lit up like Krystal’s ‘hot-off-the-grill’ neon sign,” said Paul.

The couple ordered a Sackful and took them back to the house to enjoy with friends. Still today, Krystal remains a part of their anniversary tradition.

As one of Krystal’s Top Lovers Love Stories of 2009, Paul and Gina will share an intimate candlelit dinner this Valentine’s Day at their favorite Krystal restaurant with a $100 gift card. For that value, we imagine they will share many more Krystal dinners to come. It’s the gift that keeps on giving!

Stay tuned for Krystal Lovers love story number three tomorrow.
